11/1/18- Cars & Coffee, BMW St. Matthews

502 Cars- Cars & Coffee, BMW St. Matthews

Here is a beautiful BMW M4 at the October Cars & Coffee to start out the blog for you. I love this car because the mirrors for one are so intricate and well designed, also it is a hard-top convertible, so that you can let your hair wave in the wind on a sunny day and not worry about the rain soaking through the roof when the weather is bad. BMW M4

I thought that this Jeep was really cool, partially because it looks really menacing at the grill, and hilarious because this might be the one dream car of any CoD player and it definitely was for this person.

The Viper is back! I always have liked this car because of how awesome and sporty it looks, not to mention the foot tall carbon fiber spoiler on the back, and the bright pink engine cover. A cool fact about the viper, they actually stopped the production of them in 2016, but will be manufactured again in 2021. Dodge Viper ACR

These Porsche Caymans are so cool, they are like a budget friendly 911, but with a little slower performance. The style of this car(and basically all other Porsches) is just great, sporty but not too sporty. If you are thinking of getting a Porsche sports car, but have a smaller budget, then this is the car for you! Porsche Cayman S

This is a great Grand Sport, the performance of these Corvettes are competitors of Cars like Mercedes AMG GT’s, Aston Martins, Nissan GTR’s, and lots of others. What is crazy about these, is that they pack a lot of performance into a small bundle of only around $60k! The moment that I really started loving Corvettes was when I was taken to the plant in Bowling Green for my 11th birthday, on a private tour for about 2 ½ hours with my friend. Corvette Grand Sport

This might be one of the most interesting cars at the event, it is a diesel BMW 3 series. I know of other lower-class brands doing this, but it is surprising to see a relatively high-end brand get into this. One thing that I did notice is that it was one of the older models, like 2005-2010 era, so it may have been discontinued for some reason. BMW 335d

Another Cayman, and this time this time the owner decided to put up the rear wing! I have to say, the two racing stripes on the closest headlight look amazing, not to mention the fangs on the grill. Whoever had the idea of those things the props to them, also I noticed the carbon front-skirt of the car in the bottom center of the third picture. Porsche Cayman S

I am going to be straight with you here, I have absolutely no idea what this thing is, but my mom says that she likes the shape of it because of the symmetry of it makes it look artistic. The color is also very interesting because of the slightly restored, and also somewhat natural looking aspect of it. Apparently it gives her nostalgia of when she was the CEO of the Henry Ford museum, and was restoring historic and old cars like the Rosa Parks bus, Ford model T’s, old Rolls Royce’s and others. Some old car

This is another old one and it is very funny because it is so low to the ground, if you drive this car, watch out for those pesky molecules under the car as to not scratch the undercarriage. Another old car

I know this is a pretty common car, and that is why I didn’t spend a lot of time looking at it. These are really luxurious and at a somewhat reasonable price, but you could get almost the same thing for about $20,00 less in an Alfa Romeo. They are also considerably better looking as well as having better performance. I am not trying to speak smack about Maserati, because I think that they are a great brand, I am simply stating the differences between them and their other brand, Alfa Romeo.

This isn’t the same 350Z in the last Cars & Coffee blog, but is doesn’t have the bison package or the ‘Friends of Coal’ license plate. In place of these, it has an amazing carbon fiber package and a awesome front diffuser and aero kit. Considering that the 350Z is a budget sports car, the owner turned this into a carbon beauty, and it was probably all done at a fair price. Nissan 350Z

Ok, so when I saw this car driving down the road of the BMW dealership, I instantly knew that it was a Ferrari, because only a car like this would be bright yellow. I mean, why would you have a Ferrari and not make as flashy as can be? I asked this guy how much it would be to rent this, it is up for rent at derby city, and he said that for one night, you could rent this Ferrari for about $1,200. Almost every kid my age would say yes to renting this car if they had the money, some would even say that they could rent this even if they didn’t have the money! Ferrari 458 Italia

This is another one of the cool and rare cars that were at the event, it is a really cool Skyline, and apparently it was only bought for about $20,000 and was fully restored to almost mint condition. There is a little rust here and there, but that doesn’t take away from the total awesomeness of the car. I would love to drive one of these. Nissan Skyline GTR

The old AMG GT, I learned a couple days ago that this car has a twin turbocharged V8 when I got to see it in the Mercedes showroom. I heard someone say that this GT  wasn’t a good car, and I firmly disagreed in my head. I love this car partially because of the performance, but it is also extremely luxurious because it is a Mercedes and they are basically built to be luxurious. The seats are also very comfortable for super car racing seats, but that is probably because the owner got the comfort seats. Mercedes AMG GT

This is a pretty cool RX-7, especially because it looks like an old-timey rally car. The part that really sells this car for me because it is sponsored by Gulf, which normally sponsors really nice manufacturers, because you wouldn’t necessarily think that gulf would give money to this driver.

This is another one of the rare-but-not-so-rare cars that were at the event. This is because normally, you would see the more common versions of this car like the Scion FR-S or the Subaru BRZ. This is one of the rarer cars because it has to be shipped in from Japan, and isn’t made at almost any of the plants here in the USA. Toyota GT-86

  1. Winston, cool stuff and I don't even know anything about cars, except what you tell me. I love reading your dialogue, it makes me look more carefully which means I enjoy the experience more fully. I do love that Viper, but agree with your Mom on the old truck or whatever it is, definitely artsy. I didn't know they had events called "cars and coffee", I love coffee so I'd be happy to come along to one of those! YarYar
